Wasp nest in Milton Keynes: leave it, or call someone?
Call someone now if…
- The nest is by a door, window, bin, path, or where children play.
- It's inside the house, the loft, a wall cavity, or a shed you actually use.
- Anyone in the house is allergic to stings. Trouble breathing after a sting? Call 999.
You can usually leave it if…
- It's high in a tree or hedge, or in a bit of the garden you can dodge until autumn.
- Wasps don't re-use a dead nest, so you can leave it where it is afterwards (WaspbusterMK).
Is it actually bees?
Honey bees aren't pests. Milton Keynes City Council points you to beekeepers via the British Beekeepers Association and the North Bucks Beekeepers Association swarm hotline.
